bolding and spacing

I'm creating a tool where the user can copy and paste text from a word document. Unfortunetaly the formating is lost and the user does not know how to put the html tags around the text he or she will need bolded or underlined. Is there a quick way to allow them to select text and bold or underline them in a cfm form?

For this you need some kind of rich editor to replace the textarea control. Try one of these:

Or, if you are designing for an IE-only evironment, you can use IE's built-in rich text editing capabilities, as described in the following article:
