I'm working on this Javascript for a PDF and I'm trying to bold the word "CANNOT" from within this line. How do I bold?

i = app.alert("Advise member that tax payments CANNOT be accepted by our tellers. They should contact the IRS directly.", 3, 0)

As far as I am aware, there is no way of making text in a Javascript alert box bold.

Sorry to dissapoint!

Did my "more text" Javascript code do thejob OK for you, btw? (thread216-732959

Yes it most certainly did. Thank you again for all of your help.

Just to confirm, the alert box is provided by the operating system, and that's all it can do - no bold possible I'm afraid.

Ahhhhh, I see you have a machine that goes Bing!

What about this. Can you have the same javascript popup load a page instead of a text box so you can bold?

Yes, you can create your own pop-up boxes for alert & confirm boxes bit it's really a drag on resources. You really don't need the bold text - just having the alert/confirm bix show up is enough.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
