Bogen paging system and desk phones

I have a Bogen Zone Paging Controller (PCMCPU, etc) and have it currently connected to an analog station port on my IP500 (v6.0). This works ok but I would also like to use the Page feature to page out of certain extension phones along with the paging amp at the same time.

I have tried tying the analog Bogen paging extension into a hunt group along with the extensions I want page through and it always seems that the Bogen equipment never picks up before the other extensions because it requires a full ring before it answers.

Has anyone successfully implemented something like this where there is a 3rd party paging system and group paging through 5620 phones?

It sounds like you are dialing the extension that is connected to the Bogen equipment directly
It rings, then answers and you can make a page

Have you tried interfacing to the Bogen equipment as a 600ohm output by setting the analog station port to a paging port?

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This would allow you to make a hunt group for paging, put the users in you want to page across the phones and user for the paging port.

We have in the past had to take a analog phone and place it between the IPO and the Bogen equipment and remove the handset (leaving the set off-hook) when the port has been setup as a paging port.

Yes it does we have two zones, 01 and 02
