BO Version Differences

I have just been asked to support a BO environment which is on version 6.

I have indepth experience of 5.1.4 but none of 6.

Can anyone give me a brief rundown on what are the major differences as I dont want to move into this role blindly thinking that I can do the job and find the differences are tremendous and my experience does not suffice.

Do a search on busobj.forumtopics.com. There are several topics that deal with the differences.

The client is really not different at all. Other than a Save As Excel, there are only a few small things.

Designer has some new things like Index Awareness and derived tables.

Supervisor has not changed much.

WebI is completely different.

Forget your worries. Versions 6 differ so little from the 5 version that they do not earn the moniker '6' at all.

It should take you about 10 minutes to memorize the differences and then realize the biggest difference is the look and feel of the log-in graphics
