BO Upgrade & server migration

We're currently running 5.1.4 of BO and Broadcast Agent on a cluster of old NT4 servers, SQL Server 7 and Oracle Client 7.3.4.

We're now in the planning stage of upgrading both the BO software (5.1.8) and Hardware:-

4 high-end hp servers installed with:-
Windows 2000Advanced
Oracle Client 8i
SQL Server 2000

Before we proceed, however, what are the pros/cons of replicating the current BO repository currently sitting on a SQL server 7 db to a new db on SQL Server 2000.

Is it just a straight drop with a new/existing BOmain key? Will this relicated repository cause any conflicts with the existing repository as both systems will be on the same domain?

I really don't want to create a new repository as this would mean having to change all the BO users' bomain keys and repoint the existing universes and domains to the new repository

Any advice would be grately welcomed

You should be able to put the SQL 7 repository on the SQL 2000 box. There is nothing different to BO in the 2 versions.
