BO and Webi Questions - newbie

Hi,
I am new to BO and Webi. We have a new installation of business objects. Our universes are created, etc. When you go to

http://servername/wi

you get the login for webi. However there is no credential checking here and anybody can log into the "homepage". Even when I log into using my valid id/password I don't see any corporate documents and none of my universes are available for me to create a report.
What is missing here? I go to the server where BO is installed and see nothing about Webi or Infoview. Can the BO server be the same server that Webi is installed on?
I'd appreciate any enlightenment.

There is no BO server. WebI and Broadcast Agent are the servers.

Your problem is a simple one. Your server does not have a BOMain.key file in the correct place (locdata). You need that file and the middleware to be correctly configured and you'll be fine.

Another question. We have two security domains set up. How does Webi know which to use? Right now it is "magically" pointing to the test security domain.
How do we tell it which one to use?

WebI CANNOT work with 2 security domains. It will only use the 1 pointed to by the BOMain.key.

I'm not going to go into it here, but BO/WebI is not designed to have multiple security domains. It is better to have 1 repository with multiple universe and document domains. The issue you outline above is one of the many reasons.

How do we delete the domain we don't want. It is, of course, named BOMAIN and the correct domain is named DOMAINDSS. Can we delete BOMAIN and rename BOMAINDSS to BOMAIN. Or can we point webi to read the BOMAINDSS.key?

WebI requires the key file to be calle BOMain.key. You can just rename yours.
