BO and Oracle Connection Problem after DB restore

Hello,

The Business Objects was working fine. We are Using Oracle DB. We did a Database restore. After that we are able to login to BO, create reports and save it but when we run it, we the following error:

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied :-1017

We are not able to run any of our reports because we get this error.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What database did you restore, the BO repository, or your reporting database? Seems like it was the reporting database and looks as if username/password could have changed.

You can log into the repository but having a problem with retrieving data.

Thanks for the response. We restored the reporting database and not the repository. we are able to login to the database and the repository.

Please explain which username/password has changed.

Your reporting database username/password might have changed???

Can you try and test the universe connection in Designer and see if this is the case?

Thanks. Actually, I changed the connections in the designer. it works now.
