*.bmp to *.jpeg converter

Try irfan view.
You can download it from e.g.

If the link is not valid any more, just doa google search on irfan view download...

You should be able to open the bitmap and right click on it and choose edit. Then when it opens, choose file, save as, and the drop down should give you the option of JPEG format.

as Techy69 explained, bring the .bmp up, then File, Save As.. and specify jpeg.

I too am an IrfanView fan. As MakeItSo noted, a Google for IrfanView will likely find you a solid download site.

I'm only seeing the options to save as .bmp or gif when i go to save as. I have renamed the file to .jpeg but i need to send it to our graphic designersa who are working on mac's and they cant open the renamed file.

Any further suggestions??

Of course, they can't.
Bitmap is a color-reduced graphic format based on bitmap-coding whereas JPEG is a resolution-reduced and compressed format - you cannot simply rename into each other.

Try the Irfan link I posted - it's freeware and good stuff. ;-)
