I did a clean wipe and full install of XP on my system (800 mhz, 256 mb, 20 gig). Ever since then, every once in a while when I launch my browser, the system crashes to the blue screen then reboots itself. Is this a known problem? It only happens when I launch the browser, regardless if I just booted up and launched it, or if I run several applications then launch it, just goes right to U_E error on the blue screen of death. Any suggestions?

Do you get an error number? Check your events log for clues. Start > All Programs > Administrative tools > Event Viewer If you found this helpful let us know by voting below.

Just to be sure: this is the IE6 installed with WinXP by default, right?

Yes, IE6. Error is something like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL in the blue screen, but I don't have any conflicting IRQs.
