I'm looking for a policy or setting in Exchange 2000 to block read receipts and similar messages from going to Internet addresses.

I've found some settings that look like they might work, but can't find good documentation on them. Content Restrictions for the internet connector, maybe?

Thanks.

In System Manager, Global Settings\Internet Message Formats\Default\Advanced Tab, there's some options at the bottom. That what you're looking for?

That's what I'm thinking- disallowing "System Messages". Can you see any problem with that? I'm assuming that these receipts are a type of system message, but don't want to disable something important (though I can't think of anything important in this regard other than the user's email)

shouldn't be a problem at all...but I'd think you'd want to at least keep the non-delivery messages running for administration purposes.
