Hi,

About 4 years ago we made live a 6.5 database banking system with integrated letter package. The letters were records of the mail sent to our customers. At the time we were recommended to keep the text of the letters separate from the database. We are now about to migrate to SQL2000 and I wondered whether that advice is still good.
There are a number fo advantages to us keeping the letter text in SQL not least the ability to replicate the database.

Can anyone help ?

The database is 3 GB and the letters take 0.8 GB in a separate file,

Best wishes

Phil
