Ok, I am trying to send a document to press. They tell me there is no bleed. They told me what to set everthing, and I set it just as they said. I have a .125 bleed and it still will not bleed when I make it a pdf.

Do I need to do anything in Quark when I set up my page to ensure the bleed? Also for a magazine cover and the pages what should I set my margins as??

Thanks for the help!

So, you have the elements dragged .125" offf the edge of the page? Then when you make the PDF make sure you set the bleed on the main print tab to be .125 and adjust the width of the document to include. So if the page is 8.5" x 11" with full bleed the size to set in the print width would be 8.75" (includes 1/8" on both sides).
