Recently I have encountered a problem with my PC.

The specs on it are as follows:
ECS K7VMM+ Motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 2100
Sound Blaster 5.1
ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 128 MB
768 MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c

I have installed the latest Hyperion Drivers for the via chipset. I have tried Catalyst 4.11 drivers, and they did not help. I downgraded to the catalyst 4.5 and it seems to run other stuff a bit better, but did not help the crashing problem. I also have the latest audio drivers.

I have cleaned my system out thoroughly. I have cleaned and optimized the registry, I removed old copies of the audio and video drivers. I have run adware and spyware scans. The system is running very well.

The problem occurs when I try to play certain games. I am wondering if anyone ahs heard anything about this problem or may h ave any insight. I have posted on the game forums also, but I figured it would not hrut to ask here.

The new game is WoW (World of Warcraft). I have been unable to play it at all cause of this crash. It occurs at random times in the game. I will be playing and the screen goes black. I am forced to have to turn the PC off and then back on. No error logs or anything. If it was just 1 game I would not be concerned. However I used to play a MMORPG called Horizons. I decided to get back into it for a bit. I used to run the game with no trouble. Now I load it up and try to play and I am getting this same black screen crash.

Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks!
