biztalk sap adaptor technical reference

hai.

I am to propose a biztalk with sap adaptor to a client. I unserstand that I need to install biztalk server, sap adaptor and sql server. What about the SAP server itself. Do I need to install or configure anything on the SAP server? Do you know where I can download a specific technical reference about connecting biztalk to a SAP server?
I have tried searching for this information, but I could not get one.

Hi,

I just downloaded the trial version of the adaptor and installed it. The only thing that is not in there is the DCOM adapter from SAP. That can be downloaded from SAP. All this does is provide the TRFC transport into the SAP system.

On the SAP-side all that will be needed is to give your account some privileges in order to read from the Business Object Repository for instance.

All in all it was really straightforward - much more so than I thought.
