Scenario;

5 Peer to peer XP PRo SP2 machines ... 2 machines are storing duplicate copies of pictures in jpg format ... on the machine that originates the JPG's, the files will load with no problem in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer ... ALL OTHER PEERS state "No Preview Available" (the originating machine has the PIC folders shared) ... the other issue I noticed is viewing the folder, these files are missing the Picture details on the peers ie the date the picture was taken plus the size. When I copied one of the files to a local folder on a remote XP PRO SP2 machine it loaded fine and the folder details are all there.

The duplicate/Backup folders on the 2nd machine appear to work fine.

Can anyone shed some light on what might be causing this? This started happening approximately 7 days ago ... any files older then 7 days load fine. Its almost like the files are being stored with some extra attributes that disallow being shared ... is this possible? If so how can I see and or clear this?

All pictures originate on a CANON Digital Camera ... they are moved onto the PC using Canon's REMOTE software and are rotated with IMAGE MAGIC then copied to shared and backup folders using a VBA application running under ACCESS 2003.

Can you check the Security Permissions of the files to see if that is a problems. Does re-doing the Shares fix it?
Are you using the same usernames and passwords on each machine?
