Hi,
I tried to install XP on a Biostar M6VBE motherboard. No chance! I updated to the newest bios version and still no luck. The f**** installation hangs at 26% when it wants to copy the driver.cab. Obviously the mainboard is not ACPI compatible so I shut that one off during installation. It doesn't even work when I start the installation on a different PC and change drives after all installation files have been copied. It claims the hard drive or the controller, but those seem to be ok since other OS work fine.
Any ideas?

It is a long time ago but I have some questions on your topic:

What was the size of the Hard drive you ried to install XP on?
I have the same motherboard and XP (Professional) installs fine but is unable to deal with drives large than 32 Gb.
