I have recently built a machine with a Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ motherboard and Athlon XP processor.
The board supports raid, however I only have one hard disk - so don't need it.
When booting the machine insists on doing an IDE search (through something called MBFastTrack Lite) and comes up with "No array is defined" - and asks you to set one.
Well at that point going into the fasttrack option just says no hard disk found and kicks you out.
Question - how do I prevent the machine wanting to look for a non existant Raid array? - i can't find anthing in the BIOS to disable it, unless it has a very cryptic name to turn it off?
ps the machine after looking for the array eventually boots normally
thanks very much

I have the 7dxr.
Its a jumper next to the raid IDE ports. Put it in the off position. Look to manual for more - if you dont have a copy you can download one at

Maybe the 7DXR+ is different since I cannot see any jumper and it certainly is not marked in the mobo manual.?
