Dear All,
I was trying to install the recommended solaris 9 patch cluster on my system and did it also. But after booting the system I am seeing Bind 8.2.1 i.e the earlier version is running not the installed one (9.2.1). This happen only after this patch installation ...
While doing the thorough check , I found out that original named -v gives as BIND 9.2.2 running but on syslog it shows bind 8.2.1 is running ...
After this I did
# ndc stop
and then
# /usr/local/sbin/named -c /etc/named.conf
And when checked the /var/log/syslog it shows :-
Starting bind 9.2.2 -c /etc/named.conf
command channel listening on 127.0.0.1#953
BUT WHEN I am rebooting it then once again it shows the old version running...
WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM ...ANy help soon...
With best regards,
Withu
