bind error: address in use

Using Tru64 UNIX V5.1B, there is constant reporting of this error: inetd [525485] or [525486]: kshell/tcp: bind: Address already in use. How/where to correct this condition? Thank you.

inetd is trying to listen on a port where you already have a service.

Open your /etc/inetd.conf file and comment out everything you don't need.
