I have sql server 2008 installed and I want to run back ups.
Using the business intelligence software, create a project. But I recieve an error and it stops dead.
<error>
retrieving the comm class factory for component with CLSID [AA40D1D6-CAEF-B9BB-D0D3DC976BA2} FAILED DUE TO ERROR: 800700C1
</error>

Tracking it down in the registry, sets it to be the DTS.DLL.
I tried regsvr32 (loc)/dts.dll and I get an error stating that it is an invalid MS file.

I tried running SS2008 repair and I also get errors that cant be fixed.

<sigh> This is getting tiresome....

Do you have SSIS installed on the server?
