BGP Max routes

Hi ...hopefully a simple question for you all!

What would you expect to happen if the 'Max routes' configured was exceeded between BGP peers??

Would you expect a notification to be sent and then the session shut down?? Or would the session stay up but lose the routes that exceeded the configured threshold??

I would summise the latter would occur: "the session stay up but lose the routes that exceeded the configured threshold??

Just come across this doc...

Looks like the default is to drop the session! ..but you can configure it to just send a warning if that is what you require.
