Need to upgrade some of our existing Netware 5.0 Servers
to Netware 6.5.
I have applied all the patches to the Netware 5.0 Servers
ie nw5sp6a etc, but how do you do a inplace upgrade,
do you boot from the nw65 os cd or can you do it from
deployment manager.
Regards.

Let that NW6.5 CD autorun from your desktop. It has lots of info and tools to prepare your tree for 6.5. You'll probably need to update to the newest version of NDS, the CD will do that for you.

It also has info and tools for the various options involved in creating or upgrading a server. Makes the whole process friendly.

You're also gonna want SP 1.1; 1.1a is a stand alone executable, 1.1b is a CD overlay.
