best way to launch programs?

i have a toolbar set up so i move the mouse to the left of the screen and it pops up, works with win 98 and me and my current xp OS.

what is the most efficient way to launch apps?

i have tried several utils made for this purpose the current being NB soft applaunch, what does everyone else use?
