Nice simple one.....

For the holidays, what is the best way to forward all incoming calls (normally routed to a huntgroup or voicemail) to an external number?

I could set an extension to 'forward hunt group calls' and leave it the extension on (not DND), but this seems ...crude. I would also have to make sure it did not forward any calls to other hunt groups.

Is there a neat way using the night servive or overflow tabs to forward to an external number?

Thanks

really simple thing to do is:

incoming call route:
Destination: Outside Number (don't forget prefix)

If its for a hunt group you will have to create a hunt group with 1 member. Set HG to ring sequential. In user tab, forward all calls & HG calls to outside number.

Put this group in the Main HG OoS profile and put a button on a phone, or force it in Manager.

The calendar is great for doing this but you can only route it at the incoming call point, pity it's not available at hunt group level. HG level only gives In Service, Night Svc and Out of Service.

Good luck!

Thanks - I think I will try option 2 - that way the first user back in can use a short code to take the hunt group off OoS, and restore normal communications.
