Hey everybody. I'm new...to everything. I've had aDreamweaver Mx for a long time but have used simple webpage builders in the past (like yahoo pagebuilder-my boss wanted it that way). I'm actually a graphic designer (using photoshop and illustrator) and I was wondering, what is the easiest way to go about re-designing our site? Can I use photoshop or illustrator and just import that into dreamweaver or one of the other programs? If so, can you give me a heads up on how I would start to do that (not the whole process) just a heads up on where to start looking. Thanks so much.

You can design it in Photoshop, and then import the big bulky image into Dreamweaver and have a big slowish site to deal with. Or better yet Google for online tutorials on CSS, and HTML, and make a nice smooth fast loading site.

Find tutorials on Layouts and When to use images, and when not to.

You can use Photoshop to just design a basic layout, but then I would try to recreate the basic layout in Html.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

You Can design it in Photoshop, Fireworks (I prefer Fireworks) and slice up the image, then use the Export HTML code option in Fireworks and you then paste that into Dreamweaver, it imports the page in pieces so the loading time is not tremendous and it reduces the amount of time the page loads in...

Fireworks CS3 actually has the option to add an extension to use SmartCSS too if you're going the css route...

Check out Adobe's section on Fireworks articles and you'll see info for it...

both FW and PS apps tend to generate crap code so you are better of using the image editing software mentioned to make slices(optimazed iamges) and then use html and css to build pages/code from scratch while using the images created where needed.
You would be suprised how much "decor" can be substituted by simple css property.
All the best!
