Hi!
We have a Win2KPro mainly as a file server. It has 2 NIC, one to ADSL with static IP and one to the LAN. We use a proxy from Gatekeeper. We want to connect to this server from whatever PC connected to the internet (remote connect). What is the best solution? IIS? VPN? 3.part software?
Thanks. Ole

Hi!
In your situation I could offer to use W2k Server... W2k Pro does not SO rich RRAS features as W2kS. Thuthemore, W2kP offer only 1 incoming connection , but W2kS - till 255. Then you can use VPN (and NAT if applicable) on your server and W2kP clients. No additional software is required in this situation.

Hope it will help you.. :)

I use Remote Administrator (for remote control access) - but if you're only looking for file access that's probably overkill (you could just use file sharing over the internet - but I think that might be a security risk).
