best proxy for small lan

i have a small lan at home (4 pcs, 1 is the "server")
the server one has 2 nics, one connected to the adsl modem and the other to the network. i have a simple hub connecting all the workstations
well, i have been using a proxy (ccproxy) to share the connection, since ICS doesn´t work very well on all computers (i´ll post this issue in another thread).
well the question is about which proxy is the best so that i don´t have to configure every application individually to use the proxy (i.e.: explorer to know the http proxy and so on), because there are some applications that don´t have this option and i can´t use them (i.e. : almost all games )
I tried with wingate but there weren´t good results (doesn´t always work well)

I just responded to your ICS thread and know when I see this post my recommendation about getting a router is even more valid as it will save you a lot of time and hassle that you will have configuring and maintaining your proxy and ics sharing pc.

You haven't said what kind of connection you have to the net but if you wan't to have that many pc's and play games I would recommend you to get dsl or better if you don't already have it.

i have adsl, and i replied in the other thread (lol) why i am a bit reluctant to buying a router.
i really don´t mind to configure the pcs to use a proxy, as long as ANY application works with some proxy in particular
