Whats the best Program for finding keyloggers? Whats the best free Program for finding keyloggers?

TIA

Best way to catch most of them is to utilize more than one piece of software to detect the keylogger.

I had a keylogger on an old home machine (intentional installation). Spybot, ewido and adaware missed it completely.

I haven't found one, good, all-in-one solution that will detect this keylogger. I guess what I'm trying to say is to not count on the results of one piece of software.

What dollie says is very wise, I rely on no single piece of software. I have quite a few software on this computer although not all is installed I do keep up to date setup files in case I need to use them. Software I have installed or have laying around ready to install for many applications is as follows

adaware, spybot, ewido, antivir, avg, trend micro anti spyware, rootkit revealer, hijackthis, about buster, cws shredder, killbox, unlocker, solo antivirus (good dos scanner), winsock fix(program I picked up thanks to bcastners faq on winsock) . Anyways as you see I use several , not all as I said are installed but I keep them around just in case. Also I use housecalls online scanner every so often to check behind things.

The situation is that I have a client who suspects that her husband has placed a keylogger on the machine. It was my intention to check for a hardware keylogger first. After that I was going to boot the machine in safe mode and install detection software to try to find the keylogger without being reported by the keylogger. Additionally, I was going to check the antispyware, antivirus and firewall settings to determined if they have been configured to permit keylogging to transmit over the internet.

I just wanted to know if there was a consensus in the community about what is the best program specifically for finding keyloggers.

Thanks for the input.

Best of luck to you! Another way for a spouse to check for keyloggers is to look at the monthly credit card statement and look for online payments that aren't familiar.

(Just sayin'...)

:)

A thumb drive can be incerted on the machine on the back and keylog if physical access to the machine isn't a problem.
