Hey guys,

Just wanted some feedback on a few questions I have. I'd like to start learning Java as one of my core languages I can develop with, but I'm really not sure where to start.

Could you please advise on any good books that you've used while developing/learning, as well as any good online resources?

The biggest question as well is: what is the best platform to develop it on?

I'm running XP right now, but Mac's and Linux aren't out of the question. Which platform has the best dev tools for creating java apps?

Thanks for your time,

Jack

That is the beauty of java. I doesn't matter what platform you develop on. Just use whatever platform you are comforatable with. Mike Wills
