Haven't found anything too helpful out there...
Here's the deal: I have a flash movie that reads in several XML files upon loading up. These XML files are somewhat large and cumbersome (400-900 lines) and maintanance is becoming an issue.
I'd like to store all my data in a DB sitting on my CFMX7 server.
I've read all about remoting and other methods, but none seem to fit my particular case. I simply need CF to organize some queries into data structures that I can pass to Flash. This is a one time communication right when the flash movie loads.
Everything I've seen involves Flash having to call CF, CF make the query calls and return the data to Flash. Also... everything is all about componenets. I'm not using components... I just need the CF data to pass into AS variables.
I need the CF page pulling the data upon page load, and having it ready to go directly to Flash once the movieClip loads.
Any suggestions? Has anybody worked with passing data CF -> Flash? Thanks for any help...
