If you haven't used Vi before, the learning curve can be steep, but IMO it is worth it. Excellent syntaxt highlighting and highly customizeable.

Recently, I started using Adersoft's VBSEdit and JSEdit. It costs $30 for both, and if you have some experience with scripting, it helps (color-coding). However, it does come with built in scripting for WMI.
PrimalScript is okay, but I have found that Adersoft does the same thing as PrimalScript at a cheaper price. I haven't played with visual studio.net because it isn't cheap too, so can't tell you.
HAPedit (currently at version 3.1) is a free editor, do a web search. I think it's written in France, but has several languages including English of course.
