I am a newbie to dreamweaver and would like to buy a book. My question is, if you were in my shoes and given a choice of only two or three books to buy which one would you pick?

Hello black jack!

Unfortunately I'm not suggesting you any books - I haven't read any. DW has the best tutorial I've ever seen (at least DW 3)- you'll find it in Help. Learn from this tutorial step by step and you'll save some money for better things (hosting and domen name).

But if you still need book about DW you'll find them easily - there are tonns of them in any book store...

Good Luck!

I'll have to agree with wardo. I've read a few different dw books and Lynda Weinman's is by far the best. The tutorial is very good, but the book goes into more detail. Whatever you do don't waste your time reading the manual. It's 582pgs of common sense. Usually when I'm looking for a book I go to barnes and nobels and look through all the books to see which ones I might like then go to but the like that wardo put up is even cheaper. Have a good time it's a great program and a lot fun to learn

Gotta put my vote in for DW Bible most other subjects covered by SAMS Teach yourself ..... I dont want to go to Chelsea!!!

Lynda Weinman's "Hands on Training" is the best tutorial I've found! It will get you going in no time! these are my first 2 sites using DW with just a little HTML background and heavy use of her "H.O.T.".
(not completely done)
DW Bible comes in handy a sometimes but we find it a bit teadious for "amateurs" like us!
