I've been working with computer for a long time and I'm a fast learner. I have to design a database and I need a quick book that would have me with the database layout, codes. etc..Sometimes like a cook book or bible with everything. Soup to Nuts kind of book.
Don't have any reference to good English books on the topic, I'm afraid, but a good starting point, is a document available from a Tek-Tips member (JeremyNYC) website Fundamentals of Relational Database Design.
(I'm told this is an html version of the document, but I have not been able to find it on the website, but r937 always snaps at me for not including it since the other is a word document)
I've just gone through the same scenario you're describing.
I bought Alison Balter's Mastering Access 2002 - desktop development.
It was very highly rated by Amazon and does cater a little more to initial Access users. Overall I'm satisfied with this book. It hits it's designated target.
However, if you feel you may have multiple users or non-standard design requirements this book will not be sufficient. This is not a good book if it's the first time you've looked at VBA.
