Hey,

I'm looking for recommendations for the best software to back up to DVD with. Specifically, I want to back up about 80GB onto multiple DVD+R's, and be able to bare-metal restore it (restore it with a boot CD, without first installing an operating system).

Having access to individual files and folders is a plus, but not required.

I've tried Ghost 9.0, but it never is able to mount the .v2i drive - it asks for DVD swaps endlessly.

Thanks!

Ghost 2003 has worked fine for me, backing up to internal and external DVD/CD burners.

Try Acronis True Image server, this should do the job for you. You can boot it from a cd. I use it now for close to a year or so and never had problems. Regards
