Hello,

Does anyone have a recommendation for an Avaya or Avaya-compatible phone set for a blind person who serves on a call center?

Our vendor recommended the Avaya 9611g IP phone. Someone else recommended the Cisco 'unity' IP phone but we have an Avaya (CM 7) system. Is there an Avaya equivalent?

I welcome any additional feedback.

Thank you,

Depending on your user's needs, there are a few options. There's a large font for the phone - though it's not substantially bigger.

I've seen people using a PC and has accessibility settings to take a 1920x1080 screen and let a monitor show 1/16 of it at a time zoomed in. They certainly clock a lot of miles on the scroll wheel for their mouse, but if your user has low visibility and can be accommodated by something of that nature, then a softphone/One-X Agent might be a good option.

There's also a company called Tenacity with a software product called ipTTY for the hearing impaired - which has a devconnect doc and a product called Accessaphone for the visually impaired. They mention compatibility with Avaya systems but have no devconnect note for Accessaphone, so you'd have to ask them.
