Has anyone ever encountered a beeping in someone's headset connected to either a 6416D+, 6416D+M, or a 6408D+? The headset is a standard plantronics model. It is not a wireless headset or any of the new Avaya products. I am not sure if it is even a headset issue. Is is possible this could be a PBX issue? I have had numerous complaints about this beeping.

thx,

wok

The newer Plantronics models beep when their batteries are low. -CL

I know this has come up in the past... can't remember remedy though... um - dipswitches on back of base unit for headset? Are they set accordingly? Battery indicator low?

Maybe those will help. Sorry I can't remember for sure.

Regards,
Chris

If the amplifier is a standard vista and you are hearing 3 beeps in succession you need to change the batteries

We had this problem and it was down to the 2 dip switches on the underside of the phone unit. These should be set to "0". I was told it was due to the fact that some countries have to give a beep to let people know that they are being recorded. John
