BE9 sits on Cancel Pending

I just cancelled a running backup job and now BE has just been sitting on "Cancel Pending" for a really long time. I really need to restore a file for a user with a deadline and it's just sitting there. Is there any way to speed it up? Or just kill the process and start over?

Hi, I have had to cancel through the service and start over. If it is in the pre-process mode it takes a long time to cancel. But if is backing up then cacel it should not take too long.

Have you 'refreshed' the screen? Sometimes it takes a Refresh for BE to update the status.

I was just reading the docos for BE 9.1, just released on 12/3/03 and this is a point specifically mentioned.

If you tryto cancel the job while it was in "Loading Media" state, the job would go into Cancel Pending and stay there.
