New server, new HP Ultrium tape drive, new HP scsi card using lsimptnw.ham driver, card in slot 5 (as indicated by Symantek/Veritas folks).
We are doing a test restore and it starts out like ganbusters but keeps failing:
03/10/06 05:22p
Error on HA:1 ID:3 LUN:0 HP ULTRIUM960 DRV.
Possible corrective actions for this error are:
1.) Use a different media
2.) Check the SCSI cabling.
Vendor: HP
Product: ULTRIUM960 DRV
ID:
Firmware: G2AD
Function: Read(4)
Error: A hardware failure has occurred on drive HA:1 ID:3 LUN:0 HP
ULTRIUM960 DRV. Please consult the job log for details.(10)
Sense Data:

00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00
we have checked the hardware, rebooted the server, reloaded be, updated the be92 drivers with the latest and greatest. reset the block size, gone through besrvr.cfg file to see if there was something else that could be tweaked. I have changed and updated everything I can think of.
Any suggestions out there??
