OK, here's an easy one:
We use Backup Exec 9.0 and run Exchange 2000. Normally our backups run smoothly, but on occasion my associate will delete a user account and forget to tell me about it, resulting in a failed backup with the following error:
Directory not found. Can not backup directory ?Smith, John [jsmith] and its subdirectories.
OK, I know that we can manually go in and remove the users mailbox from the backup selections and the problem goes away. If my associate warns me up front, I can take care of it before we get the backup failure message.
Even though the backup "fails", everything gets backed up correctly. I seem to recall a thread awhile back where a user had a similar issue, and someone posted a registry fix that would prevent BE from reporting these backups as failures (presumably success with an exception). Anyone recall what it was? I've been all over the Veritas support site and can't find any trace of it.
Thanks!
