Just recently, the Veritas backups started to fail when a new tape is used. The system will backup to "existing" tapes but will not recognize any new media. We have purchased Sony AIT-2 tapes from two different sources. I have verified they are compatible!
When new media is put in the drive, eject's fail, inventory's fail, I can not format the tape (grayed out), and under devices, it says <BAD MEDIA>
Any ideas to troubleshoot? Sony tape support is telling me it is most likely a backup exec problem.
