I have found that Backup Exec ver 4367 will not or has not worked for me on the Windows 2003 server platform. All attempts to back up failed with error (cyclic redundancy check). With version 4454, I have found no errors so far. So, just writing this to save whomever some time as I tried and fought to fix 4367 with all of veritas's online suggestions and technical support.

Oh OK, thanks for the link. I was trying to find the link that said ver 4367 would work on 2003. I know I saw it somewhere......

Hi,

I think the following article is what you are looking for

ID: 252678

The thing with 4367 is that it will work for some things, but not for the system state.

another thing to note is, only 4454 is supported by Veritas on windows 2003 - what this really means is, you can get it to work sort of with 4367 but if there are issues, don't come to us.

having something supported and something working are 2 different things in the eyes of software manufacturers.
