BE 8.5 Client on XP PC No Backup Servers Found

All,

When I try to run BE 8.5 Client on XPpro PC, it sez it's "Unable to find any Backup Servers." Understand it's a glitch with single-server BE. Anyone know if it's been fixed yet or figured out a work-around?
