BE 10 Exchange locks up every day

Have Windows 2003 Small Business premium. BE 10 with latest build (I think it is 2020 - not on site so cannot check now) backing up Exchange and some data on host and 2nd server. Backup runs fine but every morning Exchange is locked up. Services are running. Restarting them makes no difference, have to bounce the server.

Running Trend Neatsuite with ServerProtect, ScanMail and OfficeProtect. Not running MS-SQL at this stage. No other server apps loaded.Sorry, Intel Server Management is loaded. Running IIS and ISA.

Any advice please.

What happens when you run a Backup of the IS with NTBACKUP to disk?

Do you have the Information Store selected and the userdata under shadow copy selected?

Will try that and see what happens. In fact, now that you mention NTBACKUP, I think there is a job that is scheduled to run around 3am to backup data from the old server to the new one.
I will check, but I think the IS showdow copy think is selected on all backups. I wil check when I go there now (7am).
Forgot about those scheduled backups. I will remove them as they were mainly there before we had the BE and tape in place.
