This could well sound like a posting made some time ago ... ;-)
I have a client site that I have adopted that are looking at updating their Windows Server and client machines on their network.
They've been running a system written in Delphi (5) some years ago now - this makes use of Paradox tables (from the server and client machines) and an Interbase database (on the server).
My client is now looking at installing Service Pack 2 against the Windows Server and Windows XP client machine.
They (and I) am concerned with the outcome of this in regards to whether we can expect to see (or not expect to see - and they be caught off-guard by) any issues running a system like this (be it due to the BDE 5.01 / Paradox tables / Interbase database).
If anyone is aware of there being any such issues can you please draw my attention to them please ...
Or, similarly, if anyone feels this transition should go off without a hitch - again please suggest this.
Any advice / pointers / warnings at this stage would be gratefully received before we start updating the various machines in question.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
