I have an NT4 domain. We had a PDC and BDC. The PDC disk drive went down, we promoted the BDC and removed the original PDC from network.
The BDC has some problems authenitcating users, and we no longer have access to shared directories on a WIN2K server on the network, through authentication on the domain. In other words.... when a WIN2K workstation logs onto the domain, user is authenticated, then the mapped network drives attempt to authenticate, but fails, so the username/pswd for the administrator of the WIN2K server is being forced to be used to access those directories. Prior to the PDC going down, this all worked correctly. I do not know enough yet to find the problem.
The original PDC is still messed up. It cannot be put back on the network yet.
Thanks!
