Hi

I have a BDC, which seems to have fallen off the network, when I reboot it displays: Error 5719
No Windows NT Domain Controller is available for domain HE. (This event is expected and can be ignored when booting with the 'No Net' Hardware Profile.) The following error occurred:
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.

Why? I have tried just about everything and still nothing. This BDC is on a different Ip range from the PDC but this has never been a problem in the past. 192.168.98.# for the PDC and 192.168.97.# for the BDC connected via a 2mb pipe and two routers. Then every so often the server completes a partial synchronization replication of the SAM database from the PDC, but it just won’t log on properly? Please advice as I am on the brink of a rebuild this server also acts as a print server, wins server & dhcp server, the wins is working on that site but not replicating. The printer server is working fine and DHCP is ok

Many thanks in advance

Hi,
It could be improper TCP/IP settings, bad cabling, faulty network card, etc…
or
The Spanning Tree Algorithm feature on a switch can cause this.
Any changes made to the routers or switches?

Hope this helps.

No nothing has changed router or net config wise the PDC got disconnected by mistake for half an hour then got plugged back in?

I did an nbtstat -n and I have a conflict for the HE domain
HE <c1> GROUP Conflict could this be the problem and if so will a reboot fix it ??

Thanks in advance
