BCM remote access

We have just installed a BCM and have connected a pots line to the modem. We are trying to find out how to setup a pc to access this BCM. Is there a special program to use for this purpose? Can you use hyperterminal or a similar program? I have been through the CD and have not been able to find out how to set this process up.

really supposed to access thru nic what does your support person say/seller of said equipment...modem is really a back door
