BCM 50 HD

We have a BCM 50 (recently installed) that will not backup to itself. Get a 12007 error on it. Is there a way to do diagnostics on the HD? As you can guess, have not been to school on one and the vendor is not getting back with me on it. Of course this was the last in a series the installed and with this kind of response, I need to know how to do more than install phones.

Have you tried to back up to a PC or Thum drive?

Should have included that. I get a CArchive error on the screen when backing it up to my computer. Site is in another town so I have not been able to break free to get up there and try thumb drive. I am the only voice tech in the state.
Vendor did call finally, they sell the systems as is to the installer (different co.'s) and they do not update the patches unless asked. Leads me to believe it is a patch problem but checking to see if it is something someone else has gotten and how they resolved it.

Are trying to do the backup via dial up? i do not think dial up will work.

No I am going through our network.

We have a number of BCM's and I am able to back them up ok. Also the same happens with scheduled and immediate B.U.'s.

I would reboot the system and try again, and i would also get the system up to date on patches.

No patching or very old patching will be a problem. Also make sure that CDR isn't setup (but not used) as this will fill up the storage area resulting in some very large backups.

I think you might have a bad sector on your hardrive.
Time for a new HD.I had a similar issue.

It's only dialtone-VZ
