I am removing an ASM 8 in an expansion cabinet and replacing it with a DSM 32. Does anyone know the proper steps in order? I have an idea how I would approach it.
- disable asm 8 in software
- power down expansion cabinet
- remove asm 8
- install dsm 32 and power up cabinet

Actually I would have to set dip switches first on dsm 32?
Any help appreciated

If you enable the DSM32+ it will tell you how the dips should be set

Expansion Cabinet on BCM50 or BCM200/400/1000/450?

BCM 450 - it was in the subject. Basically I deconfigured the ASM 8 while it was installed. Then I configured the slot for a DSM 32 and it gave me the dip switch settings to set. Powered down cabinet removed ASM 8, installed dsm 32 and powered up.
