We cannot access the voicemail. Whenever you hit the VM button it just come up blank. It does not say inactive feature. I swapped out the BFT but the same result comes back. The hard drives look active with all green leds. There are no sounding alarms or blinking lights other than the red alarm led. Also, cannot acces the element manager as well. PRI is working along with other features but not the voicemail. Thanks in advance.

BCM 400 4.0 cannot access VM or Lan ports

Hook up via serial cable to the front of the BCM, reboot the unit and you should see the Linux base starting to load. If you see nothing, pull the BFT, take the front bezel off, then hook a monitor to the VGA port. Power the system back up and look for any POST/hard drive errors.

I had the same problem. It turned out to be the hard drive that needed replacing. For the BCM 400 versions, the system will still function, but with no IP connections and Call Pilot.
